Just a little note -

With every passing day we each face new challenges but did you ever stop to think that we also receive many blessings. It may just be something little but there are indeed blessings hidden in our everyday lives. I am challenging myself to find ten hidden blessings each day. Maybe it will make me a better person in the long run.

Ever felt like:

Have you ever felt like you just simply couldn't pray? Have you ever been so angry about life circumstances that you felt like a rotten christian? Well lately, that's been me. I have been so stressed out about the job situation that I feel like I'm drowning. I became so angry about it. I seriously couldn't help myself. And that's when I finally realized.... I can't help myself. God is still in control. He will take care of it all.

Dear Jesus, I come to you today to ask you for forgiveness for my anger. I trust that you are in charge and will see us through. I ask that you provide a job with a steady income that will supply our family not only with our needs but also some of our wants. I ask you to bless my children with health and happiness.

Seeing the sunshine through the fog ....

Past few days have been so stressful. Lots of things coming up from out of the blue including an unexpected call from the doctors office telling me my 15 yr old son's EKG was abnormal and we need to see the cardiologist immediately. Then said cardio's receptionist insists that we pay the entire ammount up front before the visit .... what? Needless to say, I don't have that kind of money and told her it wasn't happening and caused a scene. Anyway, everything worked out fine in the long run.

Dear Jesus, thank you for your many blessings that you give so freely. I am so thankful for your hands that keep my children out of harms way. Please continue to go with us as we face each new day and the challenges it throws our way.

Keep looking beyond .....

A major concern in my house right now is my husband's job. The fact that he will be unemployeed just any time now is very scary as we have no savings to fall back on. But I do remember something that someone once said: " If you have faith in God that's all you need." So ...... I have to keep reminding myself to keep looking up.

Hubby and I decided to continue life as usual and take it as it comes. No use worrying about something that we can't do anything about huh! Which means we promised the kids a vacation next week and so we're going.

Dear Jesus, I ask you to continue to build a hedge around my family. I ask your blessings on our lives. Help us to be more understanding and compassionate and to always be aware of the needs of others around us. Thank you for your healing hands that continue to touch our friend Karen. Please bless our little church and our dear preacher Chris and his family. We've seen miracles performed in little Cooper and he is just a delight for all of us to enjoy. I pray that your will be done in my husbands job situation and I also pray for all the others in the company who are facing the same frightening situation. In all these things we know that you are in control.

Opening thoughts . . .

I decided to start blogging my thoughts, prayers, etc. in hopes that it might be a blessing to someone else.
Today, I would ask that the Lord bless my friend Karen who has been in ICU for the past 9 days fighting for her life. She is only 42 and has one daughter age 13 and a husband who adores her.
Dear Jesus please hear my plea that Karen be healed and be able to return to her family. Please, give her family a good nights rest for they are worn out. Bless their home and fill it full of love and happiness for many years to come.
Dear Jesus, I also want to ask your blessings on my own family. We are for-warned of an upcoming struggle of our own. My dear husband will be losing his job in the very near future due to the company closing down. Of course, we trust in you to supply all of our needs. We cling to your promises. Please help us to remain patient as you continue to lead us onward. I also ask that you wrap your arms around my children and keep them safe from all harm.
